Learning for Life Programme (LLP)
Our Learning for Life Programme (LLP) develops pupils’ creativity and design thinking through meaningful art projects that promote sustainability and positive change in the community.
Learning for Life Programme (LLP) − Visual Art and Design
Let’s-Think-Design is what our LLP aims to do – to provide time and space for our pupils to unleash their creativity as they apply their learning about design to their artwork. Through the inquiry-based learning approach in the Let’s-Think-Design series, pupils learn about the different elements of design. The LLP curriculum leverages the school’s efforts in environment education, otherwise known as Greening Kuo Chuan (GKC), involving our pupils in sustainability efforts. Pupils are then empowered to translate their ideas into powerful visual images to promote worthy causes and raise awareness in the community through the messages and design of their art creations. This experience allows pupils to learn to make art that is meaningful both to themselves and to others. The LLP also intentionally strengthens pupils in their school values (ARISE) and pupil outcomes, nurturing pupils who are grounded in their values to become Adaptive Thinkers and Inventive Problem Solvers, Active Collaborators and Active Contributors.
