Applied Learning Programme (ALP)
This section explores how ALP develops pupils’ curiosity, civic-mindedness, creativity and critical thinking through inquiry-based learning, research and drama.
Applied Learning Programme (ALP) − Engage Excite Express (E-cube)
Our Applied Learning Programme (ALP), E-Cube, leverages inquiry-based learning to arouse in our pupils a sense of curiosity about the world and inculcate in them a sense of civic-mindedness to ‘advocate’ for worthy causes. Engaged and guided, pupils make self-discovery to enrich their learning as they carry out research on local and global current issues. Through drama, pupils express their thoughts and learning as they read in chorus and dramatise their scripts. What is unique about ALP is that the middle primary pupils co-write the scripts for their performances with their teachers! Such pupil-centric approaches allow pupils to learn from multimodal sources and apply them in real-world contexts. Through the ALP, KCPPians have the platform and opportunity to demonstrate one of the school’s values “Amazing Love” and showcase their creativity and critical thinking skills.
