ICT & MRL
Philosophy
At KCPPS, we harness technology purposefully and responsibly as a powerful enabler of meaningful and engaging learning. Through purposeful technology integration, we empower pupils to take ownership of their learning, collaborate meaningfully, think critically and create with confidence.
Beyond developing digital competencies, we nurture pupils to become discerning, responsible and empathetic users of technology who practise Cyber Wellness and make sound choices in an increasingly digital world. Through flexible and digitally connected learning environments, we extend opportunities for pupils to learn, create and connect beyond the boundaries of the classroom, preparing them to thrive as future-ready learners in a rapidly evolving and interconnected world.
Key Programmes & Approaches
Basic Digital Skills
To leverage EdTech effectively, pupils progressively develop essential digital skills throughout their primary school years. At Primary 1, they learn to navigate school-provisioned devices, access MIMS and SLS, and develop foundational skills such as touch-typing and basic word processing. At Primary 3 and 4, pupils build confidence and independence through increased use of digital tools, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. At Primary 5 and 6, they further strengthen their keyboarding, online search and information literacy skills, applying technology more purposefully across subjects.
Through these experiences, including e-Learning and Home-Based Learning, pupils learn to curate, create, communicate and connect, allowing them to become confident, responsible and self-directed digital learners.
Digital Literacy and Technological Skills
The Find, Think, Apply and Create (FTAC) frame guides the progressive development of pupils’ Digital Literacy skills across the curriculum, equipping them to use technology purposefully, safely and responsibly to learn, create, communicate, collaborate and solve problems.
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly integrated into everyday life, pupils also develop AI Literacy through age-appropriate learning experiences. They learn to recognise the opportunities and limitations of AI, think critically about its use, and engage with AI purposefully, responsibly and ethically.

Cyber Wellness Programmes
Our Cyber Wellness Programmes nurture pupils to become safe, responsible and discerning users of technology. Through FTGP lessons, assembly talks and our annual Cyber Wellness Week, pupils learn about digital safety, responsible online behaviour, digital footprints, netiquette and maintaining a healthy balance between online and offline activities.
In conjunction with Safer Internet Day, pupils take part in engaging activities, quizzes and challenges that encourage them to apply their learning and reflect on their digital habits. Peer Support Leaders also serve as Cyber Wellness advocates, promoting positive and responsible digital practices among their peers. Together, these experiences empower pupils to navigate the digital world with confidence, care and responsibility.

Media Resource Library (MRL)
Our library is the heartbeat of learning — a vibrant and welcoming space where curiosity is sparked, interests are explored, and a love for reading is nurtured.
Beyond books, the library provides opportunities for pupils to discover, explore, collaborate and learn, supporting the development of the 21st Century Competencies and empowering them to become self-directed, confident and lifelong learners.
